Subject: Samoa Day
Mathew Rennie had his semi- final today against Kieran MCMASTER a Scottish boxer, and fought really well, winning the bout on a split decision and meaning that he is in the final and therefore guaranteed a silver medal!
Mathew will box a Northern Ireland boxer Aiden Walsh in the final.
Charlotte Harris finished 4th in the mixed pairs event this morning after a shoot off. This afternoon she was in the individual event. She had a bye in the 1st round and after an incredibly close match that went down to a shoot off, she narrowly missed out on progressing any further.
Charlotte wrote on her media page:-
"SO AFTER A REALLY TOUGHLY FOUGHT MATCH, I BOWED OUT GRACEFULLY IN A SINGLE ARROW SHOOT OFF IN THE QUARTER FINALS AGAINST MALAYSIA. I'M PROUD OF MYSELF AND THANKFUL FOR ALL OF THE SUPPORT I HAVE RECEIVED OVER THE PAST WEEKS, MONTHS AND YEARS. PETER MUMFORD THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP AND COACHING ME THIS WEEK AND IN THE PAST MONTHS RUNNING UP TO THIS COMP. ALLAN GEORGE THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT AND COACHING OVER THE PAST YEARS. OBVIOUSLY THANK YOU TO DAD (IAN HARRIS) AND MUM AND ANYONE ELSE WHO BELIEVED IN ME, EVEN WHEN I DIDN'T MYSELF. NOW I CAN ENJOY THE LAST FEW DAYS IN THE PACIFIC AND SUPPORT THE REMAINING COMPETITORS IN OUR TEAM".

Niamh Robinson swam a great 50m breaststroke final, going faster than she did this morning and finished outside the medals in 5th place. She then had the 100m butterfly 'B' final where she again swam faster than the mornings heats and finished 5th (13th overall) in a blanket finish.
Alex Bregazzi qualified for the 'A' final of the 400m free and swam a great race, much of it on his own, finishing 6th.
Brody was in the B final of the 100m butterfly and finished 4th (12th overall).
Tomorrow is the last day of competition for us, with Mathew, Niamh, Brody and Alex all in action.
