Travel Information for Friends and Family

It is widely acknowledged that elite athletes require a strong supportive network of friends and family to achieve their sporting goals. These persons, significant in the day to day lives of our potential athletes, enable the athletes to achieve in the sporting arena through areas such as emotional support and financial assistance. Many of these loved ones have sacrificed a great deal to aid in the development of the athletes, allowing them to consider competing for their country at the highest level. As such, the sporting successes of athletes are not merely an individual achievement, but a shared experience.

The Commonwealth Games Association of the Isle of Man realises the important role friends and family play in the athlete's sporting endeavours and acknowledges that many may wish to watch their loved one in Delhi later this year (if selected!).

The CGA wish to help friends and family support their athletes in Delhi and, as such, have created some intial information on their website. This information can be found in the "Events" of under "Delhi 2010".

As well as this general information, the CGA wishes to advise friends and family to look at the Travel Places website. This company specialises in travel to sports events.
