An Evening with Sir Ranulph Fiennes Announced

The Isle of Man Commonwealth Games Association (IOMCGA) have announced their latest fundraising event in the form of ‘An evening with Sir Ranulph Fiennes Bt OBE’.

To help achieve their vital goals in preparing Team Isle of Man for the forthcoming Delhi Commonwealth Games in 2010, the IOMCGA has organised a fundraising evening with the “World’s Greatest Living Explorer”, Sir Ranulph Fiennes BT OBE. The event will take place on Thursday 3rd December 2009 in the Viscount Suite, Mount Murray Hotel and Country Club.

Sir Ranulph has achieved unequivocal success on expeditions and adventures around the world which include: first surface journey around the world’s polar axis; first man to reach both Poles; first unsupported Northern Polar expedition; first unsupported trek across Antarctica; successful competitor in a seven marathons in seven days across seven continents event; successful climber of both the North face of the Eiger; and, earlier this year, Everest. The event will undoubtedly motivate, inspire, educate and entertain the lucky audience.

The evening is a black tie event which includes a three course meal at £75 per person or £650 per table ( seating 10 persons). His Excellency Vice Admiral Sir Paul Haddocks and Lady Haddacks, as well as the Chief Minister Tony Brown, will be in attendance.

Please contact Matthew Wilkinson via email mwilkinson@manx.net, or phone 628541, if you are interested in attending.
