The Commonwealth Games Association of the Isle of Man (CGA of IOM) have unveiled at a recent press launch a merchandising range specifically designed for supporters of Team IOM. Acknowledging the important role that friends family and others play in the success of the elite Manx athletes, a range of 5 garments have been designed by sportswear manufacturer Kukri. The range allows followers of Team IOM to demonstrate their support through an official tee-shirt, polo-shirt, smock top, hooded sweatshirt and cricket hat.

One of the significant features throughout the range is, quite rightly, the Manx “Three Legs”. Kukri have utilised this national symbol in a number of unique ways. Within the hooded sweatshirt for example, the three legs adorn the inside of the hood, creating a completely original garment.

It is now possible for both friends and family of Team IOM, as well as Island residents watching from home, to show their support to the athletes competing against 70 other nations of the Commonwealth.

Also revealed at the launch, attended by Team IOM Sponsors and Sporting Directors, was the first showing of an informational DVD. Designed by Greenlight Television, the DVD charts the history of Team IOM through its 50 year participation and presents an insight into the work that goes on by volunteers behind the scenes, to ensure the Isle of Man is represented on a world stage.
