We are delighted to announce that cyclist Mark Cavendish and swimmer Laura Kinley have been chosen to be the Isle of Man’s flagbearers at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony on 28 July 2022.
Laura will be competing at her third Commonwealth Games, a fantastic achievement. She will be competing in the 50m and 100m breaststroke events.
Mark is a Commonwealth Games gold medalist, having won the 20km scratch race at the Melbourne 2Games in 2006. He is also representing Team Isle of Man at his third Commonwealth Games and will be competing in the Men’s Road Race.
